His Workmanship 3

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Are you God*s workmanship? Is He changing you from the person you used to be? Is He setting you apart from the world? Are you willing to be changed by Him? Are you permitting Him to change you and cooperating with Him in the process? Has God ever caused you to do things differently? Do you want to do what He wants you to do? Has He made a change in what you want to do? If He is changing you, are you glad He is changing you?

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Romans 8:9: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Ephesians 4:24: And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Psalms 92:4: For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

Has He changed your attitude? Is He changing your life? Has He given you a desire to live differently? Is there anything in you that teaches you how to please Him instead of sinning? Have you learned from Him in a greater way what is right and what is wrong? Has He given you a hunger for the Bible?

1 Peter 2:2: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Psalms 119:97: O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

Do you think about Him more than you used to? And do you have more and deeper peace than you used to?

Isaiah 26:3: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Do you rejoice in songs and choruses like this? It would be worthwhile to Google Joel Hemphill*s song and listen to it a time or two.

He*s still workin* on me,
To make me what I need to be.
It took him just a week to make the moon and stars,
The sun and the earth and Jupiter and Mars.
How loving and patient He must be,
*Cause He*s still workin* on me.
There really ought to be a sign upon my heart:
Don*t judge him yet, there*s an unfinished part,
But I*ll be better just according to His plan,
Fashioned by the Master*s loving hands!
In the mirror of His word, Reflections that I see
Makes me wonder why He never gave up on me. But He loves me as I am and helps me when I pray.
Remember He*s the potter, I*m the clay!
